History of ADIMAN's Establishment

  • 2019 - 2021Transformation of IASI Germany's Medical Division into ADIMAN

Originating from the Medical Division of IASI Germany (2019-2021), efforts were made to reorganize, gather members, and initiate activities, especially concerning COVID-19, which was affecting the world at that time. Collaborations with government institutions and representatives in Germany also began.
  • 2021 - 2023Collaboration of IASI Germany: Bridging Diaspora Doctors and the Indonesian Ministry of Health

During the 2021-2023 tenure of IASI Germany, the membership of the medical division increased, aligning with the Ministry of Health's "Indonesia Calls Its Nation's Children" program. Here, IASI Germany, representing the Indonesian diaspora in Germany, provided input to the Ministry of Health in the adaptation process of diaspora doctors.
  • 2024 Establishment of ADIMAN: A Manifestation of Indonesia-Germany Healthcare Collaboration

At one point, upon the suggestion of the Indonesian Ambassador to Germany and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the organization ADIMAN (Association of Indonesian-German Doctors) was established. It was officially inaugurated on September 28, 2024, by the Minister of Health, Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Arif Havas Oegroseno, in Berlin. ADIMAN was created as a platform for Indonesian doctors who graduated in Germany, whether they currently reside in Germany or have returned to work in Indonesia. Prior to the establishment of ADIMAN, discussions were held with the core board members of IASI Germany. After careful considerations, it was agreed to establish ADIMAN as an independent organization separate from IASI Germany, to accommodate not only doctors residing in Germany but also those based in Indonesia, in response to the increasingly diverse growth of IASI Germany.
